This role sits within the City Development Team, who is focused on the preparation, assessment and delivery of planning outcomes within the Campbelltown LGA. The position working within a multidisciplinary team to support the planning outcomes while protecting the environment and health of the community.

ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

  • Degree in Environmental Management, Science or equivalent.
  • Post Graduate qualifications or experience in one of more of the following: Environmental Management or similar fields.
  • Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) Accredited Assessor under the Biodiversity Conservation Act, 2016 (BC Act).
  • Working knowledge of Local Government and relevant environmental policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and practices.
  • Working understanding of land use planning processes.
  • Experience in the application of relevant local, state and federal legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical advice on environmental and biodiversity planning matters.
  • Highly competent verbal and written communication skills, including customer service skills, and the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Be an enthusiastic "can do" team player with a continuous improvement and growth mindset.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Contraindication Certificate upon commencement.
