An opportunity has arisen to join our Waste and City Presentation branch in the position of Coordinator Waste and City Presentation. Reporting to the branch Manager, you will be charged with the responsibility of providing leadership and guidance to the Waste and City Presentation operations teams to ensure the delivery of a reliable and effective waste collection and street cleaning service.

Essential

  • Extensive experience leading operational teams in service delivery
  • High level knowledge and experience in WHS relating to operational environments and heavy vehicles
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team to achieve set goals and improve performance and efficiency
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written with ability to communicate to a wide range of groups or individuals
  • Excellent computer skills and experience using a number of different systems to obtain information
  • Demonstrated strong customer service experience 
  • Proven negotiation and dispute resolution skills with the ability to negotiate and influence people
  • The ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions

Desirable

  • Demonstrated experience in waste management and or street cleaning services
  • Experience in Local Government

To meet Council’s WHS requirements and in accordance with Council’s Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication. If a medical contraindication certificate is provided, it will be assessed against a risk assessment and the decision of whether Council accepts the medical contraindication certificate, will be based on operational needs.
