Host Carer / Family

Cam Can

  • Volunteer, Casual

Would you like to help someone experience new opportunities, connections and relationships?

Have you ever considered sharing your home with a person with a disability?

CAM CAN is a family-led organisation providing individualised and tailored community-based support to people with disabilities and their families.

Cam Can is currently seeking a family, couple or single person to open their home to an adult on an as-needed basis (e.g. weekends and other agreed times). You don’t need to have previous experience supporting a person with a disability, but you do need to be genuine in your desire to share your home and committed to making a positive difference in someone else’s life.

This support promotes opportunities for people with a disability to become valued and contributing member of their community. Host Carers are not employees of Cam Can but are engaged as volunteers. This allows Cam Can to offer you a tax-free reimbursement to cover the expenses of sharing your home.
