We have positions available for casual Personal Care Assistants/Support Workers. As a casual employee your working hours will be varied, may change at short notice and shifts may include nights, afternoons, mornings and weekends.

You will provide high quality customer service including:

• Support clients to live the life they choose
• Assist with personal care with dignity
• Supporting clients to develop independent living skills
• Perform domestic duties including cleaning and laundry
• Assist with meal times including meal preparation
• Provide health support, including medication administration
• Assist clients participate in activities such as <art, music, dance, theatre etc.>
• Support and encourage clients to engage with their community
• Providing support with clients who may express challenging behaviours at times

About You

• Have the right to work unlimited in Australia
• Meets the eligibility of a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and Criminal History Screening – Prescribed Notice (Yellow Card)
• Have own mobile phone and email address to receive rosters and other important information
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient and able to follow directions
• Current valid first aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain prior to commencing employment)
• Reliable transport
• Reliable and willing to learn new skills
• Focused on giving great service
• Ability to work in both a team environment and on your own
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work together with a passionate team
• Calm and able to manage challenging situations
• Physically able to assist with manual handling including operating hoists and other equipment
• Demonstrated ability to listen to clients and perform tasks as requested
• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow care plans
