About the Role
The MY Education Project Officer is responsible for coordinating the delivery of an allocated portion of CMY’s education projects. This may include the delivery of the Refugee Education Support Program in a particular region of Victoria, the coordination of key Learning Beyond the Bell activities and/or other strategic education projects.
- Hours: 30.4 hours per week (0.8FTE), Part Time
- Fixed Term: Multiple roles until 31/12/2025 and 31/08/2024
- Base Salary (SCHADS Level 5 ): $93,860 (pro rata) per annum plus Super and access to Salary Packaging

- Location: Carlton, Dandenong, Sunshine (multiple roles)
- Interviews: to be held in the week beginning 11/12/23
You will have
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and project management:
- Developing, brokering and implementing multi-stakeholder projects, including high level project and stakeholder management skills;
- Communicating effectively with new and existing project partners and diverse and multiple stakeholders; and
- Identification and understanding of issues, opportunities and conflict management, whilst ensuring a sound analytical and collaborative approach to support decision making across stakeholders.
- Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present and write reports and project plans.
- An understanding of the education sector, school systems and curriculum, particularly in relation to challenges for students and families from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
- An understanding of Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Programs and their role in supporting the educational needs of children and young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
- An ability to work both independently and within a team environment and collaborate effectively with peers across multiple regions.
