The Centre for Women & Co. exists to deliver responsive, high quality and holistic women services to the Logan and Redland Regions. Encompassing domestic and family violence support services and women’s health and wellbeing support services.

The Role:

The Redlands Service Manager will lead, support, manage and develop team members to achieve organisational objectives and ensure performance benchmarks are met. The purpose of this role is to support and lead the Redland Bay team and facilitate innovative and contemporary responses to the needs of the women of Redlands, whilst upholding the values and culture of The Centre for Women & Co.

You will work collaboratively with team members and other agencies to develop appropriate and innovative responses to women’s health issues and domestic and family violence with the Redland Community.

About You:

You are a highly motivated and dedicated individual who is an innovative leader, empowering team player, and is looking to grow a women’s health and domestic and family violence service, whilst working and supporting a team of practitioners.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with your team, clients and key stakeholders. You will possess exemplary time management skills, leadership skills and attention to detail, including the ability to determine priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines.

You must have knowledge and/or experience of women’s health services and counselling frameworks, high level knowledge of domestic and family violence and an understanding of and alignment with a trauma informed framework and its practical application in a progressive workplace.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Mandatory - Tertiary qualifications in counselling, social work, human services and desirable qualifications or experience in management, received from a recognised university, with eligibility for professional association membership
  2. Minimum 2 or more years’ experience in managing and or leading a multidisciplinary team and understanding the concepts of human resource management and the ability to provide leadership and supervision to team members
  3. Proven leadership with a growth mindset, innovative and inclusive leadership styles, demonstrating experience in a strategic management role including people management, negotiation, influencing, motivating and supporting team member with the ability to foster effective team work.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of DFV response frameworks, risk assessment and safety frameworks appropriate for domestic and family violence responses and significant experience working in a domestic and family violence sector.
  5. Evidence of current knowledge, skills and services relating to women’s health care issues together with knowledge and experience in trauma informed approaches to counselling and group work, with proven experience in building the capacity of individuals, with a flexible approach to delivering psycho social education.
  6. Ability to work autonomously with demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to solve complex problems, interpret complex information and develop holistic responses/solutions.
  7. Demonstrated experience with community referrals and building collaborative networking relationships and capacity building skillset.
  8. Experience in delivering, planning, budget management, human resource and project management to achieve business and operational goals at a senior level.
  9. Highly developed interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and develop networks with stakeholders and communicate with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.
  10. Understanding of and alignment with a feminist framework and its practical application in a progressive workplace, incorporating demonstrated knowledge of the social, political and gendered nature of Domestic and Family Violence and Women’s Wellbeing.
  11. Willingness to participate in a collaborative and supportive manner with the team and capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
  12. Ability to work with a Leadership Team and Board of Directors
  13. Current Queensland Driver’s Licence, Police Check and a Working with Children Check/Blue Card
