We are looking for a reliable, punctual driver who has a positive, ‘can do’ outlook to join our supportive and hardworking team. You will have previous delivery driving experience, preferably in a time-critical role, so you will need to be able to think on your feet and have a certain amount of flexibility. This critical role also requires someone with a friendly disposition as there will be customer contact, and it’s essential that you can develop and sustain relationships.

  • Reduce the food miles associated with food shopping

Where you come in

You will deliver customers’ grocery orders across Melbourne daily (Monday- Saturday). There is significant manual handling as you are loading/unloading boxes of groceries in and out of your delivery van throughout your shift. You will have regular communication with customers, the customer service team, the Delivery Coordinator, and the delivery team. Monitor your delivery vehicle for maintenance needs/damages etc.

You will make an impact by:

  • Reducing food miles
  • Minimising household food waste
  • Collecting our boxes and coolers to reuse many times over.
  • Returning all our green waste to organic farms, gardens and animal rescue organisations.

Does this sound like you?

This role requires:

  • Experience in delivery driving
  • Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Victorian manual car license and safe driving record essential

What’s desirable:

  • Experience in customer service.
  • HR license
  • Forklift license
  • Geographical knowledge of Melbourne and surrounding suburbs
  • Interest or background in the fresh produce industry, environmentalism, and social justice sectors
