The Canberra Environment Centre requires a motivated and energetic gardener to coordinate and lead a 6-month Work for the Dole contract in the Acton Community Garden. The role is for 25 hours per week and will involve leading a team of job seekers to maintain the Acton Community Garden and establish a food waste education hub.

We are looking for:

• Leadership skills, compassion and a positive outlook are essential.
• A background in horticulture or knowledge of gardening and composting will be a great advantage.
• Must be willing to undertake a working with vulnerable people check.

Contract to commence 18th February 2019.
