A unique opportunity to provide evidence-based psychological interventions and contribute to programs that promote the psychological adjustment of people affected by cancer.
You will be a part of the CCQ’s Cancer Counselling Service delivering telehealth and face to face counselling interventions including but not limited to mindfulness and acceptance and commitment therapy to people affected by cancer and their families.
This role also contributes to the review of Cancer Council resources as well as the delivery of workshops and presentations on the psychosocial impact of cancer including stress and coping, adjustment, managing uncertainty and fear of cancer recurrence.
This is a Permanent Part-time role working 22.5 hours across three days per week based in our Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane.
To be successful, you will be registered with AHPRA, and have a strong background in telehealth and face to face counselling. Experience in oncology and or grief and bereavement is highly desirable. You will be able to demonstrate strong case management skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
