About the role

As Corporate Services Support Officer (CSSO), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth day to day functioning of our office environment, by providing general administration and office support to the Facilities and wider corporate services team.

You will be responsible for supporting the client services area and switchboard for Cancer Council Queensland. Provide customer service excellence by being the vital first contact for visitors and service users, establish their needs and direct their requests to the appropriate department. This position is ideal for an individual who is organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of the organisation and develop valuable skills while contributing to the overall efficiency of facilities and corporate services teams.

This role is Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours/week).

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

Qualification/s and Experience:

  • At least 3+ years’ experience in an office support, client services and/or administrative role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanour, a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
