Cancer Council 13 11 20 is a confidential information and support telephone service provided by the state’s leading independent organisation in cancer control. As a Cancer Support Advisor, 13 11 20, you will listen and talk to Queenslanders affected by cancer, providing them with information, emotional support and real patient-centred care. You will also listen and talk to other health professionals and assist them to support their patients and educate members of their communities about prevention and early detection of cancer.
The successful applicant will complete an extensive induction program, which will help them develop skills in telephone counselling, conduct telephone-based risk assessments and provide decision-making support to Cancer Council 13 11 20 callers.

This is a two year, part-time contract position, working 22.5 hours per week.
