Canterbury City Community Centre is a dynamic not-for-profit organisation based in Lakemba and serving diverse communities in the Canterbury-Bankstown and Inner West local government areas. Our motto is Community Building Community and we work closely with local communities to develop and deliver programs which meet local needs and foster inclusion, harmony and an improved quality of life.
The Centre has recently received funding to deliver small group programs for women to build their confidence, understanding of domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) and their knowledge of support services that are available to them and their children.
We are seeking two bi-lingual facilitators from the Urdu and Rohingya communities to help us develop, promote and support deliver these culturally safe programs to women in Lakemba and South West Sydney. You will be provided with training and supervision to translate and support the delivery of these groups with a trained DFSV group facilitator.
The groups will be delivered 1 x morning per week in Term 4 2023 as well as Term 1 and Term 2 2024. There will also be additional hours to help ensure the programs are culturally safe, training to support program delivery and promoting the program to your community.
Employment will be on a casual ongoing basis till the 30th June 2024. Paid at SCHADS Level 3.1, casual rate approx. $48.81 per hr.
