CORE Community Services (CORE) - we are a not-for-profit community organisation which has been operating in South West Sydney for 40 years. We deliver a wide range of services, activities and programs across five key service areas - Children's Services, Youth Services, Multicultural Communities, Aged and Disability Care and Community Engagement.

About the role

We have an exciting new opportunity to join a not-for-profit and make a real difference. As a Disability Program Manager, you will be responsible for expanding the services the organisation delivers to people with a disability that reside in Western Sydney. The role will identify and manage the implementation of a service model that supports self-directed approach and program financial sustainability. The role will be responsible for building strong relationships with NDIS funding bodies, community organisations, internal and external stakeholders to create and develop programs that meet the needs of our community. This is a one year contract with possibility of extension if the service becomes self-sustainable.

Essential skills and experience

Required:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 and Disability Act 2006 and other relevant legislation.
  • Significant experience in the management and delivery of Disability Services in a supervisory/team leader capacity
  • Varied and relevant experience in community services with an emphasis on the design of innovative, flexible and holistic individualised plans and associated costings within the NDIS environment
  • Broad knowledge of financial processes and guidelines related to individual NDIS funding budgets and high level conceptual and analytical skills to assess and develop individual plans.
  • High level knowledge and skills in coordination of supports to assist people with a disability in their community or in their home.
  • Experience in leading and supporting a team through change
  • Sound organisational skills with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications
  • A current NSW Driver’s Licence
