BHN is seeking an NDIS Administrative Officer to join our friendly, welcoming and experienced multidisciplinary NDIS team. Be part of a broader team of 30+ professionals (Administrative Officers, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Exercise Physiologists and Social Workers) delivering high-quality, sensitive and responsive NDIS services. Assist the teams by using your well-developed communication and administrative skills. This exciting role also provides the opportunity to develop your project management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responding to general enquiries and processing incoming referrals.
  • Managing invoicing and responding to billing enquiries.
  • Engaging with NDIS participants, carers, families and support workers.
  • Opportunities to build project management skills with the review and development of robust systems and processes.

Requirements and Attributes:

  • Working knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and relevant disability legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with people with a disability and their families or carers.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with participants, families and internal and external stakeholders including people from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.
  • Flexible, progressive and agile approach with excellent organisational, team and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a changing environment.
  • Strong demonstrated computer literacy skills in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and client management systems (e.g. Echidna).
  • Growth mindset with curiosity and eagerness to find better ways of doing things and drive efficiency.
