Better Health Network Allied Health team has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary community based service.
Our friendly and welcoming team comprises occupational therapists and an OT allied health assistant, along with intake/receptionist services so you can focus purely on your client load.
We are looking for a vibrant and passionate Occupational Therapist to support and enhance our team on a permanent ongoing full time basis. Flexible hours to suit you, full time Monday to Friday (part time considered), with no late nights or weekend work required. A balanced mix of office based work and team support, client home & community visits and opportunity to work from home.
Our caseload ranges comprises adults across the My Aged Care, Home and Community Care and community health funding streams. BHN provides support and mentoring and can support upskilling where required to bridge gaps in your knowledge. Be part of our 2023 service development if this interests you.
Our team has a focus in delivering support for local community, making a real difference to our clients and families lives.
Our team, our community, and the Beach!
The OT team are part of a long-standing community health centre and multi-disciplinary allied health team that is dedicated supporting the families in our community. The team is based at Chelsea, 150m from the beach, making for extremely pleasant lunchtime walks and great coffee! We have excellent relationships with other local services and work in a coordinated way with My Aged Care assessment teams and other service providers. The Occupational Therapists meet regularly for both peer and 1-1 supervision and professional development. The multidisciplinary team also works closely together, participating in inter-team referrals and case discussions.
We strive to support career and service development and are currently in the process of reviewing our service processes, resources and quality indicators.
Based at our Chelsea community health centre, the Occupational therapy team consists of 4-5 clinicians, working alongside a team of 15 like-minded clinicians passionate about local and holistic support for residents in our community. Located 150m from the beach, lunchtimes easily accommodate a walk along the beach, catching up with colleagues in the staff kitchen, or lunch & good coffee at one of Chelsea’s many cafes. A supermarket in walking distance means last minute shopping for dinner is easily accommodated!
The team is highly skilled and supportive, therefore clinicians looking to move into a new area will be assisted and well supported in the transition. Those with established experience will be supported to share their knowledge and experience, and continue to evolve and update team resources.
