About the role:

  • Supervise a team of Community Support Workers to support our customers to live their chosen lifestyle and maintain positive relationships with their families and friends
  • Assist the team with customers in a hands on capacity
  • Engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and build relationships
  • Flexible work hours may include the occasional weekend shift
  • Maintain a healthy and safe workplace
  • Create a safe environment for children and vulnerable adults

Skills and experience:

  • Prior experience in disability or related field
  • Leadership and management background
  • Experience working in a residential setting
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to provide high health support, positive behavioural support, active support, managing Actual or Potential Aggression
  • Prior experience supporting customers manage mental health, drug and alcohol issues, domestic/family violence (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of person centred thinking practice
  • Good level of IT skills and familiar with Smart Technology
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
  • Current SA Driver’s Licence
  • Current DCSI Child Related Employment Screening
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003)
