The Victorian Government has committed to implementing all 227 recommendations of the Royal Commission into Family Violence and to delivering on the vision described in Roadmap for Reform: Strong families, Safe children. A key recommendation of the Royal Commission and the Roadmap for Reform was to establish a network of Support and Safety Hubs (The Orange Door). The Orange Door will deliver a fundamental change to the way we work with women, children and families, and men. The Orange Door will bring together different workforces and practices to create an integrated Orange Door team and a consolidated intake point in each of The Orange Door areas to create a new way of support.
The Orange Door Team will include a mix of staff employed by local private Community Service Organisations (CSO’s) for the Central Highlands region together with Family Safety Victoria and DHHS. These organisations include Cafs, Berry Street and Ballarat & District Aboriginal Cooperative (BADAC) working collaboratively to provide and deliver services for The Orange Door across the breadth of the Central Highlands region.
Cafs is proud to be an inclusive and equal opportunity organisation. We embrace it, value it, celebrate it and support it for the benefit of our employees, our volunteers, our service users and our community. We welcome applications from a range of people including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, People with disabilities, LGBTIQ+ people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
The Team Leader roles will provide day to day coordination, supervision, practice oversight and support to a team of skilled staff within the Central Highlands Orange Door. They will provide oversight of the screening, assessment, triage and response to referrals. The role will require active and continued participation in collaborative practice activities between the cohort of specialist Team Leaders within the Orange Door in order to ensure effective and meaningful development of a seamless service system that meets the needs of the families and individuals supported by the Orange Door.
