Beep Beep! Bus Stop Films is heading to town, bringing our industry-leading brand of inclusive filmmaking. We are recruiting additional and backup Support Workers to join our award-winning Accessible Film Studies Program in Parramatta (@ Information & Cultural Exchange). The roles are casual – 4 hours per week (3-hour class plus 1-hour admin).
Bus Stop Films’ Accessible Film Studies Program is delivered to classes of up to 15 students (Aged 17 and over) living with mild-moderate intellectual disabilities. This role will support and assist with student engagement, needs and communication in class to ensure that students are able to fully participate in all classes and on Bus Stop Films projects. The role will also assist the class tutor to deliver lessons and assist them with engaging students with the learning material and in-class activities.
Bus Stop Films is a pioneering, not-for-profit organisation that uses filmmaking and the film industry to raise the profile of people living with disabilities and other marginalised groups, on both sides of the camera. Through our award-winning Accessible Films Studies Program and the brilliant films we create, we provide a platform for the voices and stories of our participants to be shared around the world, whilst advocating for a more inclusive film industry and society at large.
Our 40-week Accessible Films Studies Program is delivered by talented filmmakers and support workers in Sydney, Parramatta, Wollongong, Canberra, Brisbane and Online. In 2022, the number of stops on the BSF route will expand to include Melbourne, Adelaide and The Blue Mountains.
