You will provide expert illustration skills, an eye for detail and provide general assistance in the quest to make Australia’s most fun accessories. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your creativity, design, laser cutting, construction of designs, administration, and media support skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• JOB TYPE: Part-Time (3 days per week / 23 hours per week, Monday, Thursday, and Friday)
• PAY RATE: $24.12/hr. - $26.50/hr.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and produce original designs as directed by the employer using Adobe Illustrator
• Create and produce designs based on licensed material as directed by the employer
• Prepare artwork and material for laser cutting
• Prepare cut material for construction of laser cut jewellery
• Prepare and package orders for sending
• Respond to customers’ needs using a variety of technology including email, social media, instant messaging, and telephone
• Undertake stock take and management of material stores
• Aid in developing marketing campaigns
• Provide any other assistance as required as directed by the employer
• Possible travel over weekends to promote brand

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Graphic Design or equivalent

Experience:

• Experience in using Adobe Illustrator is essential
• Experience in jewellery design or laser cutting design is highly desirable
• Experience in marketing is highly desirable
• Experience in media and communications is desirable

Skills:

• Advanced to expert skills in Adobe Illustrator
• Ability to realise ideas through visual media to suit company needs
• Ability to successfully develop advertising campaigns primarily using social media
• Ability to prepare cut material for construction, and final construction of products
• Excellent communication skills including written and oral language
• Well organised and able to plan to ensure deadlines are met
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to adapt to new technology
• Have a flair for the unique and unusual

• Provide creative designs in a timely manner to achieve production timeframes
• Develop creative ideas to support company goals
• Ensure construction of designs is a high quality
• Prepare raw materials appropriately
• Orders are prepared and packaged in accordance with the company standards
• Ensure stock levels of materials are maintained in workshop
• Complete administration tasks on time
• Work with clients, suppliers and other employees in a professional manner at all times
