Accounts Receivable Officer

We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team, working on a permanent full-time basis at Brightwater Inglewood.

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and complete accounts for receivable transaction processing, billing, reporting, and collection.

The Accounts Receivable Officer must also ensure customer accounts are maintained with all current customer details and in line with acceptable service levels.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of the principles of accounts receivable, credit control, and customer service.
  • Able to effectively communicate (both written & verbal) in various environments with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent computer skills including excellent working knowledge of PC based accounting systems and Microsoft excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment with minimum supervision, demonstrating initiative for priority setting, goal achievement and time management.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and priorities tasks, work effectively under pressure, problem solve and meet deadlines.
  • Results orientated individual who actively participates in continuous quality improvement and applies quality improvement principles to all duties performed.
  • Aged Care, Health industry, or service orientated experience (desirable).
  • Knowledge of the Epicor financial/accounting system (desirable).
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
  • Evidence of up to date flu vaccination

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Do you have a National Police Certificate that is less than 12 months old OR are you willing to obtain one?
  • Do you have an up to date vaccination against influenza or are you willing to obtain?
