Bridge Housing is a leading Tier 1 community housing provider. Our mission is to improve lives through affordable homes and quality services. We currently provide social and affordable housing for over 5,000 residents in 3,400 properties across metropolitan Sydney. Our offices are located in Haymarket and Brookvale.

Based in our Haymarket Office and working part time (3 days per week). The Assistant Development Manager reports to the Director and provides administrative support in relation to the acquisition and development of residential properties being managed by Bridge Housing.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Director, Development deliver projects under development by managing contracts, lodging DA and CC's and supporting the selection and management of contractors.
  • Support the Director, Development meet project management and control group governance obligations by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, program completion reports and updating project management timetables using relevant tools and software.
  • Provide project administration support as required.
  • Complete research on potential opportunities, participating in initial due diligence and meeting and building relationships with key stakeholders including developments, architects, project managers and consultants.
  • Contribute to the completion of tender responses and feasibility studies with the support and direction from the Director, Development.
  • Support the Development Director meet budget and financial obligations by administering invoices and payments, updating project budgets and preparing reports for review.
  • Adhere to all relevant legislation, codes and internal policies and Codes including; procurement guidelines, contractor compliance (code of conduct, probity and fraud) and the contributing to the risk and work health and safety frameworks.
  • Monitor and review contractor performance.
  • Attend industry forums and be an active member of the property development and community housing sector.

Essential Requirements:

Please respond to the following essential criteria in your application letter:

  • Degree qualified in Property Economics, Architecture, Building and Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management
  • 1-2 years post graduate experience
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to do initial feasibility and recommendations to DD
  • Outstanding writing skills and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Understanding of local council planning and controls i.e LEP and DCP
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
  • Understanding/experience in residential/affordable/social housing
  • NSW Driver's licence
  • Microsoft Project (desirable)
  • Estate Master (desirable)

Salary and Classification:

This role is classified as a Level 5 within the Social Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. The salary for the role is $ 89,705 - $93,737 (pro-rata for 3 days per week) + Super + Salary Packaging.
