We’re looking for a full time (38hrs) Guest and Administration Services Team Member to join our team at Bonorong. Someone that enjoys having multiple tasks and projects on the go and a desire to make a guest’s day.

Having a passion and interest in wildlife and the environment is fundamental to helping deliver Bonorong’s purpose and is embedded in our ethos, so we welcome people with these values and interests.

This role doesn’t have any direct interaction with animals, but our Guest and Administration Services Team Member is a behind-the-scenes position working on ensuring our guests to the Sanctuary are looked after and our animal focussed team members have all the supplies they need to keep our sanctuary, rescue service, wildlife hospital and animal triage areas humming.

About You:

  • A person who thrives wearing multiple hats and can handle a high level of variety where no day is the same.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ proven administrative experience in a fast-paced guest / client / customer facing working environment.
  • Hands-on experience with office management computer programs and systems.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a knack of knowing how to provide friendly, informative, satisfying guest interactions.
  • Experience in handling a wide range of administrative related tasks (some experience with processing bills and invoices also would be desirable).
  • Demonstrates initiative and drive and works well within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Great organisational skills with a knack for prioritising, multi-tasking and problem solving.
  • Manual driving licence.

The Guest and Administration Services Team Member

As a Guest and Administration Services Team Member, you are part of a small but vital team, which is the guest front face for people contacting Bonorong. Each day is different as this is the central hub of guest interactions whether on the phone, email or in the gift shop.

The team is a constant hive of activity, which can include, but is not limited to answering emails, taking phone calls, arranging bookings and tours, ordering supplies, and helping to manage the website and social media content for Bonorong. The role will also include periods of time serving guests in the gift shop and entrance to the Sanctuary.

On our busiest days, you’ll need to be flexible and help where it is needed.

Your hours of work will be 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday with a 4pm finish on two of those days. Occasional weekend and public holiday work may be required.

We are based in Brighton – around 30 minutes north of Hobart CBD. It is essential that you have your own reliable transport to get to and from work.
