Boab Health Services is a not-for-profit multidisciplinary primary health care service delivering allied health, mental health, and care coordination services throughout the Kimberley region.

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Professional (psychologist, mental health nurse, occupational therapist, Aboriginal health worker or social worker) to join our Mental Health Team.

About the role

This role delivers mental health services with youth experiencing complex mental health issues through individual, family, and group modalities. You will also provide psychological counselling and suicide prevention and support services to adults and families. Based in Kununurra, you will deliver outreach mental health services to remote communities in the East Kimberley.  You will work in partnership with local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, WA Country Health Service and other community-based organisations. 

About you

You will have significant post-registration experience providing evidence-based, individual and group, psychological interventions to youth and adults with complex mental health issues. You will be confident to provide suicide prevention services within your role. Your experience, compassion, and motivation to work with Aboriginal people and in rural and preventative mental health care will be highly regarded. You will have AHPRA registration (if applicable to your discipline) and relevant professional association membership.
