The Business Development Manager will provide the strategic and tactical market engagement to drive business growth and ensure our services remain relevant to our chosen markets. This role reports to the Managing Director and will provide a monthly board presentation on sales forecast, key accounts and forward view of strategy. Ideally candidates will have experience in our focused markets of Community Sector (including Aged Care, Disability Mental Health and Allied Health providers), State and Federal Government and/or Finance and Banking.

Blue Bike’s sector focus has evolved from an initial focus on for-purpose disability, aged care, faith, and social services organisations, to now include some of the largest and most well known federal and Victorian state government departments and agencies. We also now elect to work for for-profit organisations when opportunity arises, particularly with several banking an finance organisations.
This dynamic role involves:
- Promoting Blue Bike’s capabilities and services to Executive level clients
- Balancing the sales activity between on-boardng new brands and continuing to build value in current accounts
- Developing and implementing account plans for assigned clients
- Collaborate with co-sell with Blue Bike’s software partners
- Focus on driving the top of the sales funnel – such as sales pipeline generation, and lead qualification of new & existing clients for the purpose of driving sales & revenue
- Lead the sales process by articulate Blue Bike’s value proposition, manage opportunities through the sales cycle and continue to achieve quota expectations
- Develop an ongoing deep knowledge of Blue Bike’s value and services in the Community and Government Sectors
- Annual Sales quota $8-10M (TBC with successful candidate and based on Blue Bike’s 2022/23 budget cycle)
What You Need To Succeed:
- Ability to multitask across clients and opportunities
- Deals can range from 50K to $1M therefore ability to manage high turnover internally with presales and client conversations.
- Strong experience in selling strategy and consulting services (HD – Government, finance and/or Community Sector)
- We is a growing consultancy and the Business Development Manager will need to reach across to support the delivery teams with commercial expertise to ensure client success.

- Demonstrable sales achievements across services, (HD: product) and set the bid strategy, lead storyboarding and support the bid processes
- Good knowledge of Business Intelligence, Architecture and/or Project Delivery.
