The Organisation

We are proud to partner with SEARMS, a registered Aboriginal community housing provider who has served Aboriginal communities in regional NSW and the ACT since 2003, providing housing and tenancy management services to the Aboriginal Housing Officer and other Aboriginal organisations.

With many of our Aboriginal communities currently living in extreme poverty and at risk of/or in homelessness, SEARMS endeavours to address this entrenched disadvantage whilst preserving the integrity and the core of Aboriginal values and beliefs

This Role

Based predominately from the Batemans Bay office and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Manager is responsible for the smooth running of the organisation’s corporate administration functions including the community centre within SEARMS.

Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing all areas of corporate administration - including organising events, coordinating travel, processing expense claims, general assistance to the Executive team
  • Board secretariat support
  • Management of company policies and procedures
  • Management and development of team reports to ensure onboarding / training requirements are met, as well as any delegation of tasks as appropriate
  • Assisting other business areas as required

About You

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, responding flexibly to changing needs, priorities and deadlines. You will be someone who can use initiative, common sense, and have a strong ability to manage your time effectively.

You will have:

  • A Relevant qualification in management and/or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict
  • A professional philosophy that aligns with the mission and values of SEARMS
  • Highly developed computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office Software (word, outlook and excel)

Being fully Covid 19 vaccinated, holding a current driver's licence, working with children’s check NSW and completing a criminal history check are required in this role.
