Beyond Essential Systems (BES) is an Australian company focused on the development and implementation of eHealth and education software in low and middle-income settings. Our software suite includes Tupaia and Tamanu and we also implement and support mSupply and DHIS2 systems.
Working as part of a small and highly competent team of project managers, health professionals and software developers, the Project Manager position will coordinate the implementation of Tamanu across selected low and middle-income countries and support other BES products and projects as required.
This includes a substantial amount of in-country travel, particularly within the Pacific region. This position will report to our Tamanu Programs Manager.
The job is likely to involve >50% travel outside Australia with first travel to commence in 2021.
We deliver healthcare strengthening projects in low and middle income countries around the world, with a focus on eHealth development and implementation. With a talented team across Melbourne and NZ, we're a small, friendly group of people bonded by a desire to make awesome technology and put it to good use in the world. BES is proud to recently be accredited as a B Corp.
We hope to find someone else who is technically talented, excited by the work we do, and able to take initiative as well as collaborate with a team. Work/life balance isn’t an afterthought. We offer reasonable work hours and flexibility, our staff juggle kids, second jobs, study and anxious pets. Right now we're working remotely until restrictions ease but the office is on Nicholson St in Brunswick East - close to Lygon Street with its Cafés, restaurants and bars - and there is a big park just behind our building. We would especially encourage you to apply if you are from a community that’s underrepresented in the tech or aid industry.
No closing date, we’ll hire as soon as we get the right candidate, so don’t delay!
