Bethany Community Support and BCYF (Barwon Child Youth & Family), are two of Geelong’s oldest and most well-regarded community support and early childhood education providers in the Barwon and Western Victoria regions.

In March 2022, an agreement between the two organisations to merge into a single entity was made. This has provided a unique opportunity to grow an already well-established and dynamic Strategic Engagement team, to help engage, connect and inspire our communities as we move through this new period as one organisation.

We are currently seeking experienced marketing, communications and partnership leaders who will help lead the brand experience as we transition to one organisation.

About the role:

We are excited to advertise for the role of Co-ordinator, Marketing, Campaigns & Events, based in Geelong. This position is a full-time, ongoing role and will be reporting to the Manager, Strategic Engagement.

The core purpose of this role is to execute the organisation’s key marketing initiatives, including major campaigns and events, in addition to managing the rollout of the newly merged entity’s new name and brand.

We are looking for a proven marketing and events leader, with strong brand experience and a solid understanding of digital marketing, major event planning and a multi-disciplinary approach to campaign management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Marketing, Campaigns and Events Strategy to further strategic and fundraising objectives for both community services and kindergarten services;
  • Oversee the development of the new entity’s digital communications platforms (website and intranet) continually optimising the use of such platforms for increased engagement with staff, stakeholders and service users;
  • Lead and manage marketing channels (digital, print, audio, video) and advertising platforms (print, radio, digital) to communicate public marketing and fundraising campaigns, working closely with Program areas requiring active marketing support;
  • Oversee the development of the organisation’s Event Calendar in line with Strategic Priorities;
  • Work together with Community Partnerships and Corporate Communications team to deliver at least three major fundraising appeals each year;
  • Manage and develop internal and external operational relationships with key stakeholders, including participation in relevant networks and working groups.

About you:

  • You’ll be motivated and passionate about making a difference in your community, and will be a strong advocate for change and community
  • You’ll have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a marketing, campaigns & events managerial position role, leading a team of marketing and events professionals
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering multi-platform brand, marketing, communications and events strategy and campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience in the use and application of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite esp. InDesign and Wordpress
  • Experience in managing and leading a team with the ability to manage priorities and team workloads within a dynamic and high paced environment
