About the organisation

Life Education Queensland is a health promotion charity and the state’s largest non-government provider of health and safety education to children. They do this by working face-to-face with more than 180,000 young people in partnership with 800 schools and pre-schools every year, supported by their much-loved mascot Healthy Harold.

About the role

Over the next six months, Life Ed will be conducting an exciting project to engage with their stakeholders to conduct a comprehensive review of Life Ed Queensland’s program delivery. Reporting to the Social Marketing Manager, and working in partnership with Griffith University, you will coordinate the project and conduct surveys with schools, parents and young people throughout QLD to better understand how the Life Ed program is meeting the needs of our clients and customers.

Based in their Broadbeach office, this role also involves significant face to face and telephone engagement with schools, parents and students, mostly in southeast Queensland, travel will be required.

Additional responsibilities

  • Work with Griffith University to establish survey methodologies and instruments to gather feedback from parents, school leaders, teachers and students.
  • Liaising with schools and parents to set up interviews and focus groups.
  • Conducting face-to-face and phone interviews with stakeholders.
  • Coordinating the distribution of surveys and collection of data via digital channels.
  • Overseeing the collation and inputting of survey data and data from the Life Ed Hub.

Your skills & attributes

  • Previous experience with market research, community engagement or similar type roles.
  • Relevant degree or qualification in marketing, communication, health promotion or education.
  • Excellent project management skills, with demonstrated capability to meet strict deadlines and project outcomes.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Highly organised and efficient with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout SE QLD.
  • Experience with content or thematic analysis of qualitative data will be beneficial.
  • Hold or willingness to apply for a Working with Children Blue Card.
