Donor Relationship Manager

This is a brand new and exciting role for the team that will focus on the stewardship of mid-level supporters and grateful patients. You will join at an incredibly exciting phase under new CEO and leadership across the board, including within Fundraising.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has come about to join the Philanthropy team at the Leukaemia Foundation as the Donor Relationship Manager. This role will manage and build meaningful connections with a portfolio of mid-level donors and grateful patients, to increase retention, commitment, and engagement.
The Donor Relationship Manager will also support the team to develop and implement comprehensive engagement, communications, and events initiatives for mid-level and major donors as well as Gift in Wills.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish relationships with mid-level supporters via phone calls, personalised email communications, ongoing written contact, events, and occasional face to face meetings
- Manage the Grateful Patient program and build relationships with these supporters
- Develop and implement a calendar of stewardship events and communications for mid-level, major and Gift in Wills supporters
- Write donor reports and updates for major supporters
- Work closely with Philanthropy team to assist in the development of the annual Impact Report for donors
- Implementation of the annual supporter survey for the Philanthropy team
- Work closely with Philanthropy team to assist in the cultivation and referral of potential prospects
- Track all correspondence with supporters in Salesforce, maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Skills and Experience
- Exceptional personable, with proven skills at building and maintaining meaningful supporter relationships
- Demonstrated ability to develop successful strategies for supporter retention
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of data segmentation and using analytics to improve outcomes
- Collaborative team player able to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- High level organisation and planning skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- High levels of empathy and compassion and a passion for working in the sector
- Flexibility and mobility to undertake business travel to fulfil requirements of this position
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive data
