Community Child Care Co-operative NSW is a not-for-profit provider of a wide range of services to the early education and care sector. Some of the services provided by the organisation include professional learning, accredited training, resourcing, publications & advocacy.

The Role:

As CEO you are responsible for building the reputation and profile of CCCC NSW within the early education and care profession, managing the external and internal operations of the CCCC NSW, and providing consistent high level advice to the Board on operations, policy and planning. In particular you will:

  • Work with the Board to implement and achieve the strategic plan
  • Provide high level leadership to a team of 4 direct reports and oversight for a team of 100 persons in a complex environment
  • Lead the organisation through advocacy, sector development, networking and promotion of it’s objectives
  • Direct oversight of the leadership of all commercial aspects of the organisation with a focus on expanding membership
  • Stewardship of all business functions including HR & People Leadership, Compliance, Business Systems, Risk & WHS

About you:

Essential

  • Values oriented and working to a social impact outcomes
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications ideally in education and/or public policy
  • Extensive experience in leading and managing people, programs and policy
  • Experience in strategic planning and building a business to ensure sustainability
  • High level facilitation, verbal and written communication skills
  • High level skills in advocacy and public policy
  • Experience in governance and the management of not for profit organisations
  • High level skills in speaking, writing, media representation
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial with a passion for growing a business

Desired

  • Knowledge of the early childhood environment and the education and care sector
  • Experience within an association or membership organization
  • Coaching and mentoring a team to their full potential
