The Nature Conservancy first commenced operations in Australia in 2002. Since that time they have grown significantly and now conduct projects in all mainland Australian states and territories. They are tackling climate change, conserving lands, water, and oceans at an unprecedented scale, providing food and water sustainably, and helping make cities more sustainable.
This is an incredibly exciting time to join the team at TNC, as they invest in their Fundraising programs and activity across Australia.
The Associate Director of Development (ADOD) is responsible for sustaining and building a national portfolio of qualified major donor and corporate relationships. You will be a passionate and engaged relationship fundraiser who can apply the principles of fundraising by embracing sophisticated approaches to develop donor strategies.
Being part of a global network offers you access to peer relationships, where you are encouraged to share, develop, and learn best practice fundraising together. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the APAC team on fundraising initiatives with donors and see their work on the ground, there is opportunity to travel domestically on country and across APAC and the USA where TNC’s World Office is located.
You will be seeking support for international conservation needs as well as their four domestic focuses:
