Purpose of the Role

The City Life directorate delivers personalised and public services to enhance community life, including family, aged, leisure and cultural services.

The Arncliffe Youth Centre is a sport, recreation, and community-focused Youth Centre incorporated into a mixed-use residential and commercial complex, located at 9 Townsend Lane, Arncliffe, accessible via the Princess Highway.

The primary purpose of the role is to support the operations of the Arncliffe Youth Centre.

This support extends to the effective and efficient supervision of the physical asset (the centre) alongside the activities, programs, services, events, and people contained within.

The role will support the general day-to-day front of house operations and focus on coordinating general systems, administration, record keeping and organisation. The role will respond to customer service demands and enquiries, process bookings and respond to facilities management matters.

The role will report to and provide direct support to the Centre Coordinator - Arncliffe Youth Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations for the Arncliffe Youth Centre and centre users, contractors, volunteers, and partners, including the operations of centre-based activities, programs, services, and events tending to any incidents or queries.
  • Implement centre policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practice models, including.
  • Perform a range of general administrative and organisational tasks, including maintaining and evaluating administrative systems and processes, developing key documents, data analysis, record and attendance keeping, report writing and general office duties with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Coordinate all bookings for centre users and liaise with the users to determine requirements and coordinate the use of audio and sound equipment, furniture, and other centre equipment.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications and experience relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective delivery of customer service and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective delivery of administration, front-of-house operations, and facilities management experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of software applications and technology, including audiovisual equipment, bookings systems, customer management and customer relationship management applications.
  • Current First Aid certificate relevant to the role or wiliness to obtain.
  • Working with Children Check (NSW) and Criminal Reference Check.
  • Current Driver’s Licence Class C or HR licence, or willingness to obtain.

Salary Range: $30.72 - $34.40 per hour plus 25% casual loading plus 9.5% superannuation
