About the Role

Bayside Care and Support is seeking a motivated Communications and Marketing Officer to support its expanding aged care service, through the development of innovative strategies, promotional activities, documents and awareness campaigns that complement existing activities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Implementing marketing, communications and engagement strategies that respond to Bayside’s older residents.
  • Raising the profile of Bayside Care and Support by increasing awareness and engagement of available services.
  • Promoting the value Council provides to the community.
  • Marketing and communication’s campaigns to meet Bayside Care and Support’s growth strategy for increasing numbers of clients and staff.
  • Coordinating a range of communication channels to engage the Bayside community and other audiences.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications and Marketing or a related area.
  • Knowledge and understanding of community-based Aged Care Services.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery and management of websites, newsletters and social media including monitoring and reporting performance, trends and results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, social media management, email marketing, and analytics. 
  • Demonstrated skills in the development of communications and marketing campaigns and publications.
  • Experience with graphic design and basic video editing desirable.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check. 
  • Have received at least two doses of the COVID vaccination.
