POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Training and Delivery Manager is a facilitation and training expert overseeing the national facilitation workforce, ensuring the consistent national preparation, delivery, and impact of batyr’s programs. The Program Training and Delivery Manager will develop and implement batyr’s National Facilitation Training framework to build the capacity of the Program Delivery Team, playing a pivotal role in the overall success and growth of batyr and aligning strategically with our 2030 Strategy.

The position will build the capacity of the Program Delivery Team, including training capabilities and facilitation skills, and ensure our peer-to-peer programs are fun, interactive and energetic while remaining relevant and relatable for young people. This will involve establishing and maintaining a robust facilitator training framework, managing the national training and delivery budget, and implementing batyr’s facilitation recruitment and engagement strategy.

The Program Training and Delivery Manager role will collaborate with teams across the organisation to enable the continuous development of training programs, ensuring batyr can effectively respond and adapt to evolving trends whilst maintaining and enhancing our unique tone of voice and approach to mental health education through prevention and early intervention.

The Program Training and Delivery Manager reports to the Head of Programs, who is based in Sydney.

All candidates will need to hold a current Working with Children Check and Police Check or be willing to obtain these within one (1) month of starting the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain a robust national facilitator training framework for the preparation, delivery, evaluation and impact of batyr programs, ensuring batyr meets minimum training guidelines as prescribed by NESA, BeYou, LivingWorks and other regulatory bodies.
  • Actively contribute to creating a robust and high-performing team culture, creating an environment where the team feel supported and inspired to try new things and to succeed.
  • Provide rigorous and continuous training and support for the Program Delivery Team, focusing on developing skills in training, facilitation and mental health literacy, ensuring consistently high standards.
  • Establish and maintain a diverse and inclusive facilitator recruitment and engagement strategy supporting the growth and scalability of batyr’s Program Delivery Team.
  • Develop and implement robust quality assurance protocols, conducting regular audits and assessments to guarantee program content, delivery, and impact align with evidence-based practices and organisational standards.
  • Foster a culture of reflection and growth, including using impact data to inform continuous improvement of batyr's program delivery.
  • Support key internal teams to ensure the effective implementation of systems and processes.
  • Oversee the national facilitation budget and support resource allocation for program delivery and training.
  • Facilitate programs on an ad hoc basis in accordance with demand and to maintain facilitation skills and proximity to our programs.

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES

  • Significant experience and a high level of confidence and skill facilitating with large groups, public speaking, and/or performing with an understanding of facilitation approaches that maximise learning and engagement
  • Experience developing and implementing training frameworks, structures and processes to quantifiable improve skills, especially in a facilitation setting
  • Proven ability to motivate, guide and support a high-performing team
  • Active interest in tackling the stigma around mental health
  • Experience in strategic planning and ability to work with a flexible and adaptive approach
  • High level of analytical skill and ability to problem-solve effectively
  • Exceptional organisational skills, including time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proven ability to achieve set targets
  • An outstanding communicator, both orally and written

DESIRABLE QUALITIES

  • Experience working in the mental health sector, with an understanding of the key drivers to success in preventative education
  • Experience managing functional budgets and reporting on budgets and impact
  • Experience working with and/or delivering programs to young people
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Full driver's licence
