Do you have expertise in senior secondary education, preferably in Victoria? Would you like to enable students to finish school while building skills and experience at work?
Head Start is a $49.8m initiative to increase the number of students building skills in areas of high demand while completing school (VCE or VCAL). 14 secondary schools in Barwon are working together to enable their students to participate in Head Start.
The Barwon Head Start cluster is looking for three Head Start Coordinators to work with employers, schools, students and training providers across the Barwon Region to develop and support Head Start arrangements that enable students to complete qualifications in areas of workforce demand. Coordinators will require great people skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and a passion for building effective partnerships. ($81,716-$96,350)
The Head Start Coordinators will be expected to work some hours during school holidays (approximately 2-3 weeks total), and will be paid an additional allowance for this time ($5,400-$9,500). The remainder of the school holidays will be paid leave.
An understanding of the apprenticeship sector and/or secondary schools will be highly regarded.
Applicants will be required to have a drivers’ licence and access to a suitable vehicle, and be able to obtain a Working With Children’s check.
