Selection Criteria
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Ability to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with CatholicCare’s Mission, Vision and Values and its Code of Ethics and Conduct, as well as a demonstrated ability to work from a person centred and approach
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences, law or conflict resolution and registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in accordance with Attorney General’s Department (AGD) requirements
- Demonstrated capacity and skills in post-separation family dispute resolution, including clinical assessments and working with clients with difficult or complex presenting issues including family violence, conflict, trauma and loss
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development and child protection issues
- Demonstrated excellent ability to actively collaborate, communicate clearly and respond with respect.
- Demonstrated experience in working with culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
- Aptitude to participate in alternative models of mediation such as trauma informed mediation, culturally and legally assisted mediation and child informed mediation.
- Driver’s license and capacity to travel to other sites to provide FDR services as required.
