We currently have an entry-level traineeship available in our Chatswood office. The traineeship is 12 months, full time and provides a great opportunity for someone who has not undertaken or completed tertiary studies since finishing school and with limited work experience to start a career in banking.

The traineeship is a high quality program in a supportive and collaborative team environment. Trainees will experience working in a professional and successful and purpose driven banking organisation, dedicated to responsible banking. All trainees will be enrolled in and required to complete a Certificate III in Financial Services.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and refine your customer service skills (interpersonal, verbal and written)
  • Improve your administration, time management and problem solving skills
  • Gain a good working knowledge and understanding of banking practices, policies and processes
  • Build a solid foundational understanding of the banking sector
  • Learn new systems and banking processes
  • Be part of and experience a professional work environment
  • Financial Services Reform Act (FSRA Tier 2) certification, enabling you to establish client relationships and analyse needs, negotiate client solutions, general and personal advice on general insurance
  • Certificate III in Financial Services. What you will bring

  • Flexibility and good attention to detail
  • Good level of PC literacy
  • Professional presentation and maturity
  • Some administration skills and experience highly desirable

  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic

A salary will be paid in accordance with the Banking, Finance and Insurance Award 2020.
