The Brotherhood aims to be the leader in Aged Care in Victoria, the focus is enabling older people who access our services to flourish. The role of Lifestyle and Enrichment Assistant will be based at Sambell Lodge located in Clifton Hill is a 43 bed facility offering its residents quality care and friendship in a warm and welcoming environment specialised service include lifestyle support, dementia management and individual care. 

It is an exciting time to join Sambell Lodge as a new 117 bed development is underway. The new building has been designed to take into account the character of the local neighbourhood and take our residents into the future

Main responsibilities of the role:  

The role of Lifestyle and Enrichment Assistant plans and delivers a range of activities to engage with the residents. You will work with the lifestyle and care teams to facilitate individual and group social and recreational activities to ensure residents have a great day!

Skills and Experience  

• Minimum requirement Certificate III in Aged Care or similar qualification
• Demonstrated experience leading and running activities for older people
• Current Level 2 First Aid certificate desirable
• Victorian Driver’s License with the competency to drive a mini bus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally
• Well-developed organisational and time management skills ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood

This is a full-time position, working 38 hours per week with the flexibility to work either 9:00 am-5:00 pm or 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.
