B Miles Women's Foundation (BMWF) is a Specialist Homelessness Service (SHS) that provides support and accommodation programs to women who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness who are impacted by mental ill-health. Programs include crisis accommodation, transitional housing, and outreach support services.

We are seeking candidates who:

• Are well suited to casual work and are available across a range of days and shifts
• Demonstrate a desire to work as part of a skilled and experienced team responding to women with complex needs
• Demonstrate a capacity to attend to a range of tasks including but not limited to; mental health strategies, responding to women in crisis, administration tasks and domestic duties
• Have a flexible, compassionate and caring approach
• Have an abundance of energy to complete a range of tasks!

Essential Criteria

Interested candidates please ensure your application addresses each of the criteria below:

• Qualifications in a related discipline (social sciences, health, psychology, social work, or community services)
• Experience in providing residential support to individuals with complex needs particularly needs associated with homelessness, mental health and psychiatric disability
• Experience in implementing WH&S, risk management and duty of care protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• B Miles Women's Foundation holds an exemption under the Anti-Discrimination Act and only employs female staff

Remuneration

• Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 Level 4
• Hourly rate is $38.64 (including casual loading) plus shift penalties

Hours

• Variable
• For our residential service; shifts include day, afternoon/evening, sleepovers and weekends
• For Outreach work; Monday to Friday business hours
