BDS Support Services (BDS) are looking for a new CEO to shape our organisation as we grow in scale. Our current much-loved CEO is retiring after 17 years, and the Board are now looking for the right person to steer the ship.

Our ideal candidate will thrive in a ‘participant first’ culture, advocate for people with disabilities and their families, lead a great team of experienced staff, grow and leverage BDS’s strong community and commercial relationships, drive program improvements, and drive growth to increase BDS’s scale.

The CEO will take responsibility for the organisation including leadership, financial and operational responsibility, health and safety, and NDIS compliance. They will have significant input into, and be responsible for implementing the Board’s strategic agenda. They will also support the recently announced ‘Project Build’ that is increasing capacity, improving programs, improving marketing and the website, skills and capability development, and growing BDS’s scale.

Enthusiasm, energy, excellent stakeholder management skills and organisational leadership capability are desired, as is a successful track record of steering change. Experience in the Not-For-Profit sector, and relevant tertiary qualifications are well regarded.

About BDS Support Services

BDS Support Services (BDS) is a community based Not-For-Profit (NFP) organisation established in 1970. BDS employs approximately 60 people to provide group and individual support services to people of all abilities, both facility-based and in the community. We have a large facility with extensive grounds in Broadmeadows, a facility in Craigieburn, buses and recreational vehicles for community programs, experienced staff and leaders, and a healthy balance sheet.

The people we support have control over how, where and what supports are provided. People are supported to engage in active learning opportunities, life skills development and a range of community-based social and recreational activities.
