About the Role:
The purpose of this position is to provide business analysis skills within a cross-functional team tasked with delivering and improving the Stepcare Service and implementing the long -term road map for the StepCare information system. The StepCare Service developed by the Black Dog Institute is an innovative stepped-care service implemented in general practice via the Black Dog Institute’s digital platform, for adults with depression and/or anxiety.
Core capabilities are business analysis, knowledge of .NET development, knowledge of the Australian health care environment, detailed knowledge of the technological environment of general practice in Australia, knowledge of and experience with e-health tools, general technology skills and communications skills (written and aural).
Your responsibilities:
- Work with Stepcare team to understand and improve the Stepcare system.
- Liaise between the StepCare team and the IT team to effectively interpret business requirements and technical specifications
- Work within established governance structures to deliver the appropriate monitoring, risk management, decision-making, and assurance that all relevant internal and external stakeholders are involved and appropriate signoffs are achieved.
- Scope and document new feature requirements for the Stepcare system
- Document and outline options and solutions with internal and external stakeholders
- Define and document business requirements and report these to key stakeholders
- Construct workflow diagrams and specifications
- Work with the IT team to ensure successful implementation of new feature requirements for Stepcare, ensuring that the architecture is successfully implemented and transitioned to technical design, build, test and production.
- Provide recommendations on improving the system and operational processes.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on activities as requested and contribute to the dissemination of information to stakeholders
Selection Criteria:
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably with a Business or technology degree (or equivalent).
- At least five years' business analyst experience.
- Hands-on experience in analysing new digital technology service implementation, evaluation and benefit measurement.
- High level specialised knowledge and experience across all technology disciplines (including infrastructure, application development, security and data management).
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) including strong documentation skills.
- Experience in documenting business requirements, technical change requests and specifications
- Experience with delivery of web-based solutions.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise project workload.
- Experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to positively influence outcomes, develop and maintain productive working relationships and resolve conflict
- Commitment to high standards, particularly in regard to patient privacy and information security.
- Ability to deliver and meet deadlines
- Willingness and capacity to implement required OHS policies and safe work practice.
Desirable
- Experience in digital health delivery
- Experience working within the health sector particularly with GPs and Primary Health Networks (PHNs).
- Business analysis experience in a non-profit entity.
