We support people who require individualised assistance to live at home due to disability, frailty or mental illness. Support Workers provide quality services to people and they form an integral link with our teams. 

We are looking for reliable Support Workers with a passion for Mental Health to join the Western Beaches team. 

Duties include:

• Providing a range of support services including social support
• Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
• Problem solving issues with the person and/or their family, and the team
• Reporting issues and hazards as required

What we require:

• Previous experience in the Mental Health field is desirable
• Strong values that align with those of Avivo
• Demonstrated reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
• Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively via emails, phone calls and texting with your team and think outside the box
• A current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (essential)
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts Monday - Sunday
• Tertiary qualification in mental health/similar field or working towards

In return, you will have access to some great benefits! A minimum hourly rate of $24.15 is on offer as is a travel allowance of 76 cents per kilometre between supports. Other benefits include the payment of travel time, the option of salary packaging up to $18,550 tax free, and accrued annual and personal leave.
