• Hours: 0.8 - 1.0 FTE neg, 12 month contract
• Remuneration: Negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience (range $75-80K pa pro rata). Standard conditions
• Location: Canberra region desirable but not essential. This role will be worked remotely or from a home office.

The Australian Wind Alliance Ltd (AWA) is the national community voice for wind power, bringing together farmers, wind workers and environmentalists to build prosperous, clean-energy powered communities and help Australia tackle climate change. We are a not-for-profit, member-based organisation, established in 2013.

AWA is looking for a strategic, focussed and community-oriented communications professional to help craft AWA’s communications strategy, create and place online and offline material for the right audiences and ensure effective communication with our members and supporters.

The successful candidate will be strategic, a clear thinker with a gift for writing and a deep interest in renewable energy politics and its application to regional communities. You will be able to keep the big picture in mind while operating in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and work well in a small and interdependent team.

Wind energy is a central plank in the expansion of Australia’s renewable energy sector and this role will give you the opportunity to shape the public narrative around wind energy and grow political and community support for this essential technology.
