Duties

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Social Media
    • Developing, designing and activating contemporary social media campaigns including planning, creating and scheduling content as well as ad hoc items when required
    • Sharing relevant curated third party content on social media, including from ACM branches and partner organisations
    • Measuring and evaluating social media content and channels
  • Online/Website
    • Maintaining the ACM website ensuring content remains current, including events listings and Jobs Board
    • Monitoring and moderating ACM’s online web community site, Midwives Share
    • Virtual education event promotion and administration, including organising webinars and proving technical hosting when required
    • Creating and scheduling email campaigns
  • Writing/Design
    • Writing copy for a variety of formats including social media, email communications to members, ACM magazine and the ACM website
    • Development of marketing and promotional collateral for Branches and maintenance of currency
    • Contributing to the design creation of other communication materials including annual reports, brochures, information packs, templates and infographics.
  • Measure/Evaluate
    • Tracking all media related to midwifery in Australia and preparing monthly media reports
    • Measuring and evaluating communications and marketing activities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, public relations or communication or equivalent experience
  • Design experience including Canva and or Adobe Suite including Photoshop/InDesign
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, editing and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with direction
  • Demonstrable ability to work with competing priorities on a tight deadline

Desirable

  • Experience using iMIS or similar member database, Higher Logic
  • Experience with Zoom webinars and e-learning design.

Key Relationships

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will report to the Marketing, Communications and Education Manager.
