About us

Accessible Diversity Services Initiative Limited (ADSI) is a community based, non-profit organisation established to promote the principles of multiculturalism, access, equity and social justice. ADSI provides a broad range of services include settlement, children & family, emergency relief, homelessness, aged care and disability supports.

We are seeking Support Workers to join our aged care services for an immediate start. The position is offered initially on a casual basis with the view towards progression to a permanent appointment.

About the role:

The role of Support Worker is to assist our Home Care clients to achieve their personal goals and living best life in the community.

The role may involve:

  • Assistance with community access and recreational activities
  • Transportation and supporting social engagement and shopping assistance
  • Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
  • Domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
  • Manual handling and/or use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)

Essential criteria:

  • Certificate III or above in Individual Support, Disability or Aged Care
  • Willing to obtain and maintain clearances of certain checks
  • An understanding of disability and/or aged care services and person-centred support
  • A current NSW Driver's License (P2 and above)
  • A reliable registered vehicle (work related approved kilometres paid fortnightly)

Preferred but not essential:

  • Manual handling training
  • Industry experience will be highly regarded
