Asian Aid gives hope by fostering permanent positive change in the lives of disadvantaged children and their communities. At Asian Aid, we believe in children and in empowerment. Our vision is that all children, and their communities, are empowered, protected and have full access to their rights. We place the wellbeing of deserving children in Asia at the core of all that we do. We empower disadvantaged children to grow strong for life in families and communities that can support them. We equip children and their communities with the skills and resources they need to break the cycle of poverty. And we have been giving hope to children for more than 50 years.
Measuring the impact and success of Asian Aid’s work, this role will develop, review and implement the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning within Asian Aid’s program with partner organisations. Asian Aid depends on reliable knowledge and conclusive reporting of the work we support and this role will ensure information systems are implemented and followed up on.
Working closely within a small team and liaising with our international program partners, the Program Coordinator will have day-to-day responsibility for the monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability tasks that are at the core of our program work.
As Asian Aid continues to develop a strong Child Focussed Development (CFD) approach to the design and implementation of projects, so the Program Coordinator role is pivotal to the expansion of our work in the communities we partner with. Expanding on, and implementing further improvements to existing M&E systems and processes, ensuring organisational and legislative reporting requirements are met within Australia and program partner countries alike.
The successful applicant will have deep knowledge, insight and demonstrated experience in a variety of monitoring techniques, evaluation methodologies, accountability systems and learning and feedback loops. This role also requires experience in child related fields of child protection, child rights and child centred/focused programming.
Ability to travel internationally to remote project sites to monitor project activities, evaluate project impacts, develop and follow up on accountability systems and excite colleagues around learning opportunities.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, work with children, influence others with ideas and strategies and deliver high quality work in a timely manner.
Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral skills.
