Over the years, our farm has gone from strength to strength as the agricultural hub of the region and a must-see tourist attraction. We now have over 80,000 visitors per year!

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dedicated professional to attract and recruit people with a disability to work in Summerland Farm's diverse and exciting businesses.

About the Role

The Employment Support Advisor's role is to develop networks and partnerships with key community stakeholders to recruit and support the successful placement of employees with a disability, suitable for Aruma's business requirements.

What success looks like…

  • Excellent relationship building and recruitment skills
  • Active representation of Aruma and Summerland Farm at community engagement events
  • Promotion of Aruma/Summerland Farm's employment pathways to educational institutions and other key stakeholders
  • Smooth and efficient onboarding of new supported employees so that they are set up for success
  • Excellent administration skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to negotiate and manage conflict, escalating where necessary
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent computer literacy and confidence and capability in using systems and technology.
  • High level of motivation, initiative and demonstrated ability to work within constraints

Must haves OR Essential

  • Commitment to the Aruma Code of Conduct
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships within the community and within industry networks
  • Demonstrated outstanding customer service
  • Current drivers license
  • Ability to travel when required across a regional area
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • A confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (doses 1 & 2).

Nice to haves OR Desirable

  • Experience in the disability sector
  • Thorough understanding of the disability employment market and context in the region
  • Experience or understanding of NDIS and Supported Employment, including Service Agreements and Schedule of supports
