About the role:

They’re looking for a JavaScript Engineer to work in a small agile team. It is a great time to join too, because there is a lot of greenfield work about to kick off. They’re about to start building a new headless CMS leveraging Contentful and Gatsby. Another project that is about to launch is a peer-to-peer support app. Think like live chat with a psychologist, giving users tailored advice.

Some key points:

• Currently working with JavaScript (TypeScript) React, Node, Contentful, Gatsby and AWS (Lambdas, DynamoDB, RDS).
• Other tooling includes CircleCI, Jest, Git, Jira and Slack.
• Very little legacy code with a modern tech stack.
• Work from end to end and see features through to production.
• Small team with a great culture.

This is a chance to get in on the ground floor and shape some new products with a brand-new tech stack. In doing so you’ll be able to help create products with very little legacy code. The mission for these applications is a good one too. They’ll have a real impact on real people every single day. In mental health, sometimes a very small interaction can make an enormous difference.

About you:

You have experience in a similar role under your belt, and bring the following to the table:

• JS/ES6 experience ideally using a modern JS framework (React ideally)
• Experience building secure and extensible APIs
• An ability to write maintainable well tested solutions
• Excellent communication skills
