Anglicare (NSW South, NSW West & ACT) currently operates a number of retirement villages with a dedicated team who enjoy a collaborative approach to providing affordable, independent living retirement living options for seniors with our residents being the central focus of our retirement communities.
Brindabella Court and St David's Close are retirement village where the dignity and value of each person is honoured, and where we genuinely care about our residents.
We are looking for a dedicated Gardener/Handyperson who would like to join our team and provide grounds and general maintenance support to over 65 residents living in self-care homes. The Villages are small communities comprising of 60 homes. Each village has small community centre and is supported by a small team of dedicated staff.
The work is varied with no two days ever the same. The ideal candidate will have a common sense approach to general grounds maintenance as well as general repair and maintenance tasks plus the ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a small team and very importantly have the personality and skills to interact with seniors.
The salary for this position is $29.50 per hour, plus 10.5% employer superannuation guarantee. Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare's PBI status which adds significant value to your take home pay.
