Beats for Bravery: A festival to celebrate brave human rights defenders

2018 marks the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This declaration has enshrined freedom and justice for many throughout the world. However, still today there are many BRAVE activists being punished, imprisoned and even killed for speaking out against injustice, and standing up for their rights

This year we're taking action with Beats For Bravery - featuring live music, an exclusive art auction and guest speaker Kate Kelly of the Save the Beeliar Wetlands movement.

We're looking for about 20 more volunteers to help out on the running of the night.

Volunteer jobs would include:

  • Helping to check names as people enter the venue
  • Helping to setup the art auction
  • Supporting the silent art auction (monitoring the bids table etc.)
  • Helping to monitor the petition signature booth
  • supporting backstage with the bands
  • General support tasks (e.g. supporting the MC, and other staff)

Plus you'll get the chance to be a part of WA's best human rights music festival!

Saturday 24th November

Volunteer arrival and briefing: 5pm
Event opens: 6pm
Event closes: 10pm

Volunteers will be given breaks throughout the night to enjoy the festival!
